Wine’d Down Wednesday/Wine Flights

Brik is introducing a wine flight program as well as Wine’d Down Wednesday. Flights will consist of your choice of red, white or a mix of themed wines that will be thoughtfully selected by our Sommelier and come with a little education to enhance your Brik experience. New wines from a different region of the world will be introduced on the first Wine’d Down Wednesday of each month. Small bites prepared by the Brik Chef will be offered to enhance the tasting experience.

Wine Passport Membership

Purchase a Brik on York tasting passport and join us on the first Wine’d Down Wednesday tasting of each month from 5pm-8pm for a fun-filled wine tasting and education highlighting one of the world’s major wine regions. Each month Brik will explore a different region.

Ben Hammond

“Funky… guitar-looping, beat-boxing, soul-singing… powerhouse Ben Hammond” (Sarasota Herald Tribune) performs a wide range of groove-oriented acoustic music, original compositions and reimagined cover songs.
Born in the foothills of the White Mountains, Ben’s first musical endeavors outside rural New England took him north to McGill University where he received a degree in Music Technology and Jazz Voice, worked the city’s live music circuit in several bands and appeared as a guest performer at the Montreal Jazz Festival. For the past decade, he has since made his living exclusively through music, relentlessly touring all four corners of the United States, Southeast Asia and New Zealand, combining his dual passions of travel and music. Predominantly a soloist, he also shines in duo and band settings, layering his unique style with varied talent from around the world.
While not on the road, Ben has been active in the studio, producing 3 full length albums (10,000 independently sold and counting), multiple music videos, and a live concert DVD “Solo at Stone Mountain Arts Center”. Thousands of shows later at hundreds of venues, festivals and private events, Hammond has honed his smooth, energetic style and is one of the most sought after musicians in those places he’s called home. He is wildly excited about his recent move to the front range of Colorado, and the chance to bring his engaging music to a whole new audience. As noted by the Portland Press Herald: “Hammond is a versatile musician who writes memorable originals, delivers when he decides to cover someone, and uses his guitar, voice and gadgets to create a sound that you want to keep hearing.”

Stop Motion

All ages show!!! 5 dollar slices of pizza!!!
Formed in late 2016, Stop Motion is a soul/fusion band out of Denver, CO that is always seeking new sounds. The eclectic tastes of songwriters Evan Lei and Faith Allen blur the lines between genres, combining the lyrical sincerity of folk music with the magnetic grooves of soul. Originally from Portland, OR, the duo met in the jazz scene in 2014. Evan then brought the duo’s repertoire to Denver, where he recruited bassist Andrew Evans, drummer Flip Longley, keyboardist Luke Maxson, and vocalist Jennifer Richards to form Stop Motion. Since then, they have performed at venues in and around the Denver area. Stop Motion is set to release their first self-titled EP this summer.

Leif Sjorstrom

Leif Sjorstrom learned how to play Classical music and fell in love with Rock music. Now, he uses a loop pedal, effects pedals, and his experience as a cellist and guitarist to create instrumental music that could be described in one word as cinematic. His cinematic pieces occasionally gain the grit of post-rock, but can also be clean and spare. At times, layers of strings can make the music sound orchestral under melodies that can catch like pop-music with the sentimentality of classical music.
